Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station (上海虹桥火车站) locates at No. 1500, Shengui Road, Minhang District (上海市闵行区申贵路1500号). It started business operation on July 1st, 2010.
☝ Hongqiao Railway Station connects Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway and Shanghai-Wuhan-Chengdu High Speed Railway to the north and connects Shanghai-Kunming High Speed Railway as well as Shanghai-Hangzhou-Ningbo High Speed Railway to the south. As a part of The Hongqiao Comprehensive Transportation Hub, with a daily ridership of approximately 157,000, Hongqiao Railway Station is the largest and busiest railway passenger station in East China.
Travelers can go to (or leave from) Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station in various ways including the metro train, city bus, inter-city bus, airport bus, taxi or even private car.
Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station has four floors. That is, B1F underground arrival floor, 1F platform floor, 2F departure floor and 3F shopping floor from bottom to top. Leaving from the metro station of Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, travelers can then take the escalator from B1F floor to 2F departure floor to purchase, collect tickets and wait the train since both ticket office and waiting hall are all located here. ⚠ Travelers from overseas please go to the ticket windows to purchase or collect tickets as the TVM and the automatic ticket collection machine can't read the passports to issue tickets to you.
☝ The waiting hall of Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station is even bigger than that of Beijing South Railway Station with 27 ticket checks, however, it is criticized by travelers that the waiting hall doesn't provide sufficient number of seats as the shops surrounding seating area have taken too much space.

The open comprehensive service area of Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station is transformed from the former enclosed No. 12 ticket booth on 2F departure floor. It provides following services:

☝ Service Desk of Shanghai Hongqiao Station. It has the east and the west service desks in the waiting hall of Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station providing services such as wheelchair borrowing and renting, VIP passenger reservation, lost and found registration, redcap luggage porter and etc.
☝ Hongqiao Railway Station has quite several left luggage boxes located inside its waiting hall. Travelers are advised to store their luggage here as it's secure and cheap as long as your luggage is not over-sized..
☝ Left luggage offices of Shanghai Hongqiao Station are operated by private companies. Even though they have high service rate, they are quite popular as they are more flexible with luggage size. You can find left luggage office at the entrance of the railway station.
