Zhangjiajie West Railway Station

Zhangjiajie West Railway Station or ZhangjiajieXi Railway Station, is a junction station of Qianzhangchang Railway (Chongqing Qianjiang - Zhangjiajie - Changde) and Zhangjihuai High Speed Railway (Zhangjiajie-Jishou-Huaihua). As the second largest railway station in Hunan Province, Zhangjiajie West Railway Station plays an important role for regional passenger transporation.
The Station itself has 2 rail yards, with 7 platforms and 17 tracks. The station building, with 208 meters long, 80 meters wide and 31.1 meters high, has a construction area of 35,215 square meters with one floor underground and two floors above ground.
It formally opens on December 26, 2019.

Zhangjiajie West Railway Station

The opening of Zhangjiajie West Railway Station means the presence of the high speed trains to Zhangjiajie. It is expected to greatly boost the development of tourism industry of the city.

Floor Layout

Zhangjiajie West Railway Station adopts the streamline model by letting passengers to enter the station through the upper floors and come out through the lower floor.It has guide signs with static intelligence and dynamic intelligence to help passengre to make smart travel. The ground floor of the station building is mainly used by ticket office, business lounge, children entertainment place and VIP waiting room. The second floor is mainly used by waiting room and the undergound floor is mainly for arrival hall and inter-exchange.

Routes and Directions

Zhangjiajie West Railway Station has about 60 pairs of daily trains connecting Zhangjiajie with Changsha, Chengdu, Shantou, Chongqing, Ningbo, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Qianjiang, Guangzhou and many more cities. The high speed trains cut the one way travel time between Changsha and Zhangjiajie from 5 hours to about 2.5 hours.

West Station to Wulingyuan Forest Park

Travelers can take city bus route 6 or route 17 to travel from Zhangjiajie West Railway Station to Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station firstly and change shuttle buses there for Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan National Forest Park. To be fast, you can also take a taxi to go to Wulingyuan Forest Park directly. To take a taxi, riding distance is 30 km and riding time is about 40 minutes.

West Station to Zhangjiajie Railway Station

Travelers can take city bus routes 6 and 17 to travel from Zhangjiajie West Railway Station to Zhangjiajie Railway Station. Riding distance is 32 km and riding time is less than one hour. Ticket price is CNY 2 Yuan.

West Railway Station to Zhangjiajie Airport

City bus route 4 are now running between Zhangjiajie West Railway Station and Zhangjiajie Airport. Riding distance is 43 km, riding time is about 90 minutes and ticket price is CNY 2 Yuan for one way journey.

West Railway Station to Tianmen Mountain

Tianmen Mountain is 13 km south to Zhangjiajie West Railway Station. Direct bus is not available. To take a taxi, travelers can get there in less than half an hour.
