Tianjin Railway Stations Guide
There are four passenger railway stations in the coastal city Tianjin, naming Tianjin (East) Railway Station, Tianjin South Railway Station, Tianjin West Railway Station and Tianjin North Railway Station respectively.
Tianjin (East) Railway Station is the city's major railway station with the largest passenger traffic volume.
Tianjin South Railway Station is one of the most important middle stops on Beijing-Shanghai (Jing-hu) High Speed Railway.
Tianjin West Railway Station is used by some high speed bullet D trains and G trains running from Tianjin to Hangzhou, Qingdao and Shanghai.
Tianjin North Railway Station is used as a middle-stop to trains running among surrounding cities of Tianjin including Dezhou, Tangshan, Qinhuangdao, Qinghe, Jixian and etc.
Passengers take bullet trains to Beijing should depart from Tianjin (East) Railway Station.

Transportation Guide
- Option 1. by Airport Express
Passengers can take airport bus (15-30 minutes per) from Tianjin Airport to Tianjin Railway Station directly. The first bus departs from Tianjin Airport at 6:00 and will continue to operate until the airport's closing hour is approaching.
The distance is 17 kilometers and Journey time is about 30 minutes. Ticket fare is RMB 10 Yuan.
- Option 2. by taxi
Passenger can also take taxi from the airport to Tianjin Railway Station. The distance between these two places is about 17 kilometers and ticket fare is about RMB 40 Yuan (for reference only!). Journey time is about 20 minutes.
Tianjin Binhai International Airport to Beijing Transportation :

The airport shuttle can take you to Beijing Bawangfen Station directly. Its Operating hour is from 9am to 7 pm. Journey time is 150 minutes and ticket fare is RMB 35 Yuan. Bawangfen is connected to Beijing downtown by the subway.
Tianjin Port to Tianjin Railway Station:

Passengers can take No. 102 bus from Tianjin Port to Tanggu Railway Station and then change No. 621 bus or take the train from Tanggu to Tianjin Railway Station.
Get to Tianjin North Railway Station from the Airport:

There is no bus running between Tianjin Airport and Tianjin North Railway Station directly. We suggest you to take a cab coz it's more convenient and faster. The distance between the two places are 40 kilometers and fare is about RMB 60 Yuan(for reference only!)
Get to Tianjin North Railway Station from Tianjin Railway Station:
- The distance between Tianjin North Railway Station and Tianjin Railway Station is 6 kilometers. Passengers can take a cab to get there. Ticket fare is about RMB 15 Yuan.
Tianjin Train Ticket Booking Guide
Ticketing Hours:
Passengers can purchase ticket from Tianjin Railway Stations anytime. Some ticket windows at the ticket hall open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
There are about 100 train ticket agencies in Tianjin too. Most of these ticket agencies open at 9:00am and close at 5:00pm. To book tickets from these agenices, you are required to pay addtional RMB 5 Yuan each ticket as booking fee.
Large postal offices in Tianjin also provide train ticket booking service through their bussiness window with same booking fee with those train ticket agencies.
Ticket Reservation Period in Tianjin.
Advance ticket booking periods are different in different cities of China. According to the latest official press release, passengers can reserve tickets for 11 days (including the journey date) for most types of trains (including Beijing-Tianjin High Speed Bullet Train) in advance in Tianjin. That means, if you want to leave Tianjin on June 15th, you can reserve the ticket on June 5th.
Please not: During holiday seasons, advance reservation period may be shortened to 3 - 5 days.
New Round of ticket issuing in Tianjin starts at 9:00am every day.
China has world's busiest railway network. If you buy the ticket on the date of journey, you will most likely get disappointed as tickets may be sold out. We recommend you to book your ticket in advance to make sure your journey will not be delayed.

- Luggage size requirment: Total length of the luggage ( length+width+height) should be under 200cm.
Requirements for Child Tickets
Instead of age, China railway has special requirments on height to buy child ticket. Requirments on child ticket can be summarized as the follows:
- Children with the height under 120cm can enjoy free rail travel and don't need to pay.
- Children with the height between 120cm - 150cm have privileges to buy half-price train tickets.
- Child with the height above 150cm should buy full-price train tickets.
Tips and Notices to Buy Train Tickets in Tianjin for Foreigners
- Tianjin Railway Station has two ticket offices, passengers can purchase tickets both near the south entrance and near the north entrance.
- Passengers can also purchase train ticket at the arrival hall of Tianjin Binhai International Airport.
- You are required to show the passport to book tickets.
- Only cash is accepted at the ticket window.
