Traveler's Guide to Huangshan
Huangshan city situates in the south of Anhui province. As one of the top 10 most visited tourist destinations in China, Huangshan City is honored as a paradise on earth.
Huangshan City comprises 3 districts and 4 counties including Tunxi District, Huangshan District, Huizhou District, Shexian County, Xiuning County, Yixian County, and Qimen County.
Average annual temperature in Huangshan city is 7.8 degree Celsius and you can visit Huangshan any time in a year. Huangshan Scenic Zone was listed as the world cultural and natural heritage by UNESCO in 1990. Other famous cultural and historic sites include Xidi and Hongcun, Qiyunshan Taoist Bethel, Huashan Grotto and Jianjiang Scenic Attraction, Taiping Lake, Guniujiang and Qingliangfeng National Reserves and the Xin'an river. Shexian is also very popular as a tourist destination among international guests for its historic reserve.
Huangshan is connected with Beijing, Shanghai, Qingdao, Fuzhou, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Xiamen, Hefei and other large cities by buses, trains and flights. Passengers can take buses from the front square of the railway station to Huangshan Scenic Area directly. Ticket fare is RMB 15 Yuan. Distance between the railway station and scenic area is about 70 kilometers and Journey time is about 80 minutes.
Huangshan Airport locates 8 kilometers west to Huangshan Railway Station.
